Mysuru, June 13 -- A house-breaking theft was reported in Dattagalli this morning after a woman returned to her residence and found gold jewellery missing from a cupboard.

According to the Police, Vimala (name changed), 65, who lives alone in a house near Rotary School, had been staying with her son in Bengaluru for medical treatment. She had last visited her house on May 31 and found everything in order before returning to Bengaluru the same day. When she returned to the house yesterday, she discovered that a cupboard in one of the rooms had been broken open and jewellery was missing.
