Former Intl. cricket umpire Vikramaraju passes away
India, June 7 -- Former International Cricket Umpire V. Vikramaraju, passed away at his residence in city this morning. He was 92.
A resident of Kuvempunagar, he is survived by his wife Dakshayani Vikram, son Charan, daughter Rajashree, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grand children and host of relatives and friends.
Last rites will be held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this evening, according to family sources.
Profile: Born on Jan. 1 in 1934, Vikramarju officiated two Test matches between 1985 and 1986 which included the famous tied Test match between India and Australia at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, formally Madras and five ODI games between 1984 and 1988 which included the tied ODI between India and Pakistan on Mar. 20, 1987 ...
