India, June 20 -- Mysuru, June 20 (DM)- DC G. Lakshmikanth Reddy said that Food Safety Officials will carry out a month-long special intensive drive for inspection of the quality of food served and food safety measures taken by roadside street vendors, eateries, small hotels and restaurants.
He was speaking after presiding over a meeting of Food Safety Standards Officials at his office in Siddarthanagar here yesterday.
Directing the officials to be a regular part of the quality checking drives launched by the MCC and other Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Lakshmikanth Reddy told them to immediately issue a notice to such food sellers who do not follow Food Safety Standards and to recommend suspension of their trade license.
