Mysuru, Sept. 10 -- Following increasing debts due to crop loss, a young farmer ended his life by consuming pesticides and the incident has come to light lately.

The deceased farmer is Abhishek (28), a resident of Shindenahalli village in H.D. Kote taluk.

Abhishek used to grow vegetable and other crops in his land and his family members had taken loans from banks and other financial institutions for agricultural purpose and had given the same to him. Also, Abhishek had taken money from his friends.

As the crops did not yield to his expectations and did not get good price to the remaining crops, his debts increased and had become depressed, his family members have stated in the complaint.
