Mysore/Mysuru, April 7 -- The two-day Basava Jayanti celebrations, focusing on creating awareness on Basava Tatva and to strengthen the unity in society will be held on Apr. 19 and 20 at Kalamandira in city. This year, the celebrations will be held under the theme Namma Basavanna Samskrutika Nayaka.'

As part of the publicity event, ahead of the celebrations, two publicity vehicles were flagged off by Kuderu Mutt Junior Pontiff Immadi Gurulinga Swamiji in front of Basaveshwara statue in city on Sunday in the presence of Mysuru City Publicity Committee President Jeevadhara Girish and Basava Jayanthi Committee President M. Chandrashekar.
