Mysuru, Sept. 23 -- Just three days after an FIR was registered against former Mysuru-Kodagu MP Prathap Simha at T. Narasipur Police Station on charges of delivering provocative speech during the Shobha Yatra held in the town on Sept. 19, the Police have registered yet another FIR against the former MP. This time he has been accused of insulting the Scheduled Caste (SC) through his remarks.
Based on the complaint filed by K.T. Madhu, President of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kshemabhivruddhi Kreedaa Kalaa Sangha, T. Narasipur, the Police registered the FIR under Sections 352 and 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and under Sections 3 (1) (r), and 3 (1) (u) of the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
