Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner M.K. Savitha has served a deadline of Aug. 15 for the vehicle owners to voluntarily clear their vehicles - unused, scrap or abandoned - parked on public roads, footpaths, road side and public places since a longer time.

Any failure on the part of vehicle owners to heed the deadline may attract gradual action, from coughing up penalty amount to bearing towing charges and eventually auctioning of the vehicles, she said.
