998.56 tonnes of waste collected, cleared
Mysuru, Sept. 1 -- MCC's I-Day Cleanliness Campaign of 80 Garbage Vulnerable Points
The Mysuru City Corporation's (MCC) Independence Day Cleanliness Campaign of 80 Garbage Vulnerable Points has successfully ended, with the collection and disposal of a whopping 998.56-tonne of waste.
All cadre officers, staff and Pourakarmikas have been credited for the success of this campaign, which was conceptualised by MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha, with the noble intention of keeping the 'Clean City' tag enjoyed by Mysuru, by identifying 80 Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) to control the menace of waste, ahead of 80th Independence Day celebrations.
