Mysore/Mysuru, April 3 -- University of Mysore Syndicate (UoM) Member Dr. T.R. Chandrashekar has alleged that the Jayalakshmi Vilas Mansion in Manasagangothri is being illegally leased out to a private organisation for 40 years, free of cost.

The Mansion, which was recently renovated at a cost of nearly Rs. 33 crore through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding and international cultural preservation initiatives, is reportedly being handed over through a unilateral decision by Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath. Chandrashekar has termed the move unlawful and unacceptable.
