Mysuru, Aug. 11 -- The activists of Samyukta Horata Karnataka and Joint Committee of Trade Unions (JCTU), Mysuru unit, staged a 'Jail Bharo' protest, by making a bid to lay siege to the City Railway Station yesterday.

The rally, organised as part of 'Jail Bharo' protest organised in commemoration of Quit India Movement, with a slogan 'Corporates Leave India,' was taken out from Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry to the Railway Station. The protesters demanded that the farmers land shouldn't be acquired by force, VB-G RAM G Act should be abolished till revised wages are implemented, cancellation of labour regulations and checking of inflation rate.
