The Sri Lanka Army has actively joined the nationwide dengue prevention campaign by conducting extensive cleaning and awareness programmes across the island.
In addition to the programme conducted by the Ministry of Health, the Tri-Forces launched a coordinated dengue control initiative on the morning of 04 July. As part of this effort, troops of 1 Corps and personnel serving under the Security Force Headquarters carried out special cleaning programmes across their respective Areas of Responsibility (AORs).
