The United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, conducted a three-day high-level on-site consultation from 9 to 11 September 2026 in Colombo, aimed at supporting Sri Lanka's ongoing efforts to strengthen its national counter-terrorism framework and enhance the effectiveness of its existing counter-terrorism mechanisms.
