DEPUTY MINISTER OF DEFENCE CHAIRS HIGH-LEVEL FOREIGN RELIEF AID COORDINATION COMMITTEE (HL-FRAC) MEETING

Colombo, Sri Lanka, July 3 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:

The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd.), chaired a meeting of the High Level Foreign Relief Aid Coordination Committee (HL-FRAC) at his office in Colombo on Wednesday (01 July).

The meeting was convened to review the Committee's ongoing work and discuss the final phase of its mandate in coordinating foreign aids (supplies) assistance received for the cyclone Ditwa.

The members primarily deliberated on the preparation of the Committee's final report, and also on obtaining the approval of committee members on the final report, considering any outstanding proposals requiring further attention.
