Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) attended the ceremonial opening of the renovated Central Bus Stand in Pettah today (08 April).The chief guest of the ceremony was Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, Hon. Bimal Rathnayake, who officially declared open the renovated Pettah Central Bus Stand.
The multi-million-rupee project, which commenced in September 2025, was undertaken by the Sri Lanka Air Force under the National "Clean Sri Lanka" programme.
