Hanoi, Oct. 2 -- The S&P Global Viet Nam Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) stood at 51.9 points in September, down from 53.3 in August, but remained above the 50-point threshold that separates expansion from contraction. The latest reading marked the 15th consecutive month of improved business conditions in the manufacturing sector, according to a report released by S&P Global on October 1.

Production continued to expand robustly in September, extending the current growth streak that began in May 2025. However, the rates of growth in output and total new orders both eased from the previous month.
