Jakarta, May 8 -- The Special Senior Officials Meeting on Health Development (SOMHD) convenes at the ASEAN Secretariat/ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta from 6 to 8 May 2026 to finalise the 2026-2030 Work Programmes of the ASEAN Health Sector.

The meeting is chaired by SOMHD Chair Malaysia H.E. Dr Ismuni bin Bohari, Deputy Director-General of Health (Public Health), and co-chaired by SOMHD Myanmar H.E. Dr Ye Min Htwe, Deputy Permanent Secretary. Representatives from all ASEAN Member States were in attendance.
