Jakarta, Sept. 21 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 25th ASEAN Economic Ministers-Ministry of Commerce (AEM-MOFCOM) Consultation, in Manila, the Philippines.

The Meeting discussed the preparations for the entry into force of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) 3.0 Upgrade Protocol, and took stock of the implementation of the ACFTA. The Meeting also welcomed the Report of the Final Review of the Work Programme on Further Deepening ASEAN-China Trade and Economic Cooperation 2022-2026. Additionally, the Meeting exchanged views on regional and global economic developments and explored ways to further strengthen ASEAN-China economic cooperation
