Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today joined the ASEAN Ministers responsible for combatting transnational crime, and Timor-Leste as Observer, in the 19thASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) in Melaka, Malaysia. Chaired by Malaysia under the theme "Inclusivity and Sustainability," the Meeting exchanged views on recent and emerging trends in transnational crime. The Meeting also adopted the new Plan of Action in Combatting Transnational Crime (2026-2035) and a Joint Statement, as well as issued declarations reaffirming ASEAN's commitments to advancing cooperation in various areas of transnational crime.
