The Meeting welcomed the progress made during the first year of implementation of the ASEAN-Canada Joint Declaration on Trade and Investment for 2026-2030 across its various areas of cooperation, including trade and investment, agriculture and food safety, energy security and transition, digital transformation, and private-sector engagement. The Meeting noted that negotiations on the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) have made significant progress and remain on track for a substantive conclusion in 2026.
