Jakarta, Oct. 2 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today exchanged views with the Chair of the Global Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, The RT Hon the Baroness May of Maidenhead, through a virtual meeting. Both sides highlighted the threats of modern slavery and trafficking in persons (TIP) and their negative economic, social and security impacts. The meeting also discussed the publication of the report "No country is immune: working together to end modern slavery and human trafficking" by the Global Commission, which aims to raise global awareness on the necessity to eradicate such challenges.
