Jakarta, Nov. 4 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered pre-recorded remarks at the 2026 Media Cooperation Forum on the Belt and Road, in Fuzhou, China. In his remarks, Dr. Kao highlighted the important role of credible and responsible media in strengthening cross-border understanding, supporting social cohesion and advancing people-to-people connectivity. He also underscored the growing responsibilities of the media amid the rapid circulation of information and increasing use of artificial intelligence.
