Hanoi, Aug. 28 -- The above information was announced by CEO of Samsung Electronics Roh Tae-moon during his meeting with Prime Minister Le Minh Hung in Ha Noi on August 27.

Tae-moon said, Samsung's investment in Viet Nam has also continued to grow steadily, with the company's cumulative investment in the country reaching US$24 billion over the past 17 years since it began production in April 2009.

He voiced strong support for Viet Nam's new and important orientations in attracting foreign investment, stating that the corporation does not view Viet Nam merely as a manufacturing base, but as an important strategic partner in joint R&D and advancement of high technologies.
