KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 25 -- The "ASEAN Investment Report (AIR) 2025: ASEAN Foreign Direct Investment and Supply Chain Development" was launched today during the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2025.

AIR is an annual ASEAN publication analysing investment trends and other related issues in the region. Given ASEAN's growing supply-chain-intensive industries and global value chain participation in key sectors such as semiconductors, automotive, and apparel in recent years, this year's report highlights the pivotal role of foreign direct investment (FDI). Specifically, the report reveals how FDI is crucial for building a more efficient, resilient, interconnected, and strengthened supply chain for these high-value industries.
