Hanoi, April 7 -- The Decision specifies the timeline for starting emission inspections for motorcycles and mopeds as follows:
a) From July 1, 2027, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City - the two biggest cities in Viet Nam, shall be the first localities to carry out vehicle emission inspections.
b) From July 1, 2028, the remaining centrally governed cities, namely Hai Phong, Da Nang, Hue, and Can Tho shall begin vehicle emission inspections.
c) From July 1, 2030, remaining provinces shall start vehicle emission inspections. Depending on actual conditions, these provinces may decide to apply earlier deadlines.
