Hanoi, Nov. 2 -- Under Government's Decree No. 398/2026/ND-CP, taxpayers can apply for the reduction when filing tax declarations or making provisional tax payments for each relevant period.

The policy took effect on October 29 and covers the 2026 and 2027 tax periods.

For business households and individual businesses, the 30 percent reduction shall apply to personal income tax payable from business activities, regardless of whether tax is calculated based on revenue or taxable income.

Taxpayers whose projected annual revenue does not exceed VND10 billion may declare the reduction together with their tax filings for the corresponding period.
