Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Giang hosts U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau
Hanoi, June 10 -- Phan reassured that Viet Nam always views the U.S. as one of its important partners, expressing his wish that both countries would soon reach a fair and balanced reciprocal trade agreement.
Viet Nam will actively coordinate with the U.S. so that the latter would soon remove Viet Nam from the D1 and D3 lists restricting exports of high-tech products in a bid to promote bilateral cooperation, thereby bringing benefits to the two countries.
As the two countries have advanced defense ties in a practical and appropriate manner, Phan urged the two countries to further focus on the exchange of delegations at all levels, maintenance of consultation and dialogue mechanisms, traning, United Nations-led peacekeeping operations, c...
