Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- We welcome the meeting on 03 August 2026 between Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Mr. Arnaud de Baecque, Resident Representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to Myanmar. We view this as a positive step towards inclusive national dialogue and reconciliation among all parties in Myanmar and hope that this will pave the way for regular and sustained access for her family, legal counsel, medical professionals, and appropriate humanitarian representatives. We note this development as part of Myanmar's efforts towards peace and reconciliation in Myanmar.
