Hyderabad, Oct. 29 -- The Future City Police arrested a woman for allegedly murdering her 14-year-old daughter following an argument over mobile phone usage in Kothur, under the Shadnagar zone.

The accused, identified as Vijayalakshmi, allegedly strangled her daughter Suvarna to death during a quarrel over the use of a mobile phone, according to the police.

After the incident, the woman allegedly attempted to portray the death as a suicide to conceal the crime, preliminary investigation revealed.
