Hyderabad, April 3 -- An employee at an eatery in Hyderabad's LB Nagar was allegedly beaten by customers as he failed to provide a bottle of cold water to them on Thursday, April 2.

The incident occurred at the Bats and Bites drive-in where the accused arrived inebriated. During the assault, the attackers broke the victim's phone and abused him when he said that only normal water was available. The accused cited a local Congress leader's support and threatened to shut down the drive-in.

The victim, Prabhas, was seriously injured in the attack and filed a complaint with the LB Nagar Police. The incident was caught on CCTV, which shows the accused grabbing Prabhas by the collar and dragging him out before beating him up.
