Hyderabad, Oct. 1 -- UAE Attorney General Dr Hamad Saif Al Shamsi on Thursday, October 1, ordered a team from the Public Prosecution to investigate the incident, which led to the flight being diverted to Saudi Arabia.

The team is working with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and other relevant authorities to establish the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

The investigation will include collecting information and evidence, determining the circumstances and motives involved, and examining whether the incident was linked to any terrorist activity or involved prior planning or direction.
