Trump says Strait of Hormuz blockade 'will now be lifted'
Hyderabad, May 29 -- US President Donald Trump said on Friday, May 29, that a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz "will now be lifted" and reiterated that Iran must permanently abandon any pursuit of nuclear weapons as part of a potential agreement between the two countries.
In a statement posted on social media, Trump said vessels delayed in the strategic waterway due to what he described as a US naval blockade could begin returning home once restrictions are removed.
