New Delhi, Nov. 1 -- The BJP sought to downplay the INDIA bloc's rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, November 1, claiming that the public response was underwhelming and that very few people actually showed up despite the Opposition's tall claims of huge turnout.

Addressing the media, party spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "We have been observing this rally organised by the INDI bloc since morning and listening closely to Rahul Gandhi's speech. But in the end, it felt like a complete waste of time."

"Rahul Gandhi had been saying 10 lakh voters will attend the rally, and what actually happened?", he sought to know.
