Hyderabad, Oct. 10 -- The Tolichowki police have arrested eight persons in connection with the alleged trafficking and sexual exploitation of a minor girl, registering a case under the POCSO Act and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITPA).

The arrests were made within 24 hours of the case being detected, police said.

According to the police, the incident came to light after the victim escaped from a brothel near Pillar No. 200 in Attapur on October 5 and returned home, where she narrated her ordeal to her family. A complaint was subsequently lodged with the Tolichowki police.
