Hyderabad, Nov. 3 -- A woman from Telangana's Kodangal constituency has returned safely to India after allegedly being cheated by an overseas job agent and prevented from leaving Muscat by her employer. Her passport was reportedly taken away, while the agent allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh to arrange her return.

Tuppudu Lakshmi, wife of Venkatappa and a resident of Gokafasalwad village, travelled to Muscat on February 27 for work to support her family. However, the job given to her was different from what the agent had promised.
