Telangana intermediate board introduces activity-based learning
Hyderabad, May 15 -- The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) on Thursday, May 14, announced major reforms for the academic year 2026-27, including practical exams for both first and second year science students and Activity-Based Learning (ABL) internal assessments for various groups.
Practical exams for first-year science students
While previously, practical exams were only conducted for science students in the second year for 30 marks, the exams will now be conducted for both first and second year students in physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology.
The exams will be conducted for 15 marks in both the first and second years.
Meanwhile, theory exams will continue to be held for 60 marks.
