Hyderabad, Aug. 24 -- The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) has directed the state government to improve the infrastructure of its schools across the state.

Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report in July flagging lack of basic amenities such as toilets and an adequate number of classrooms in government schools, the Commission, headed by Dr. Justice Shameem Akther, passed the order.

Acting on the directions, reports gathered from authorities revealed that several schools in Adilabad, Jangaon, Nalgonda, and Suryapet districts indeed lack infrastructure, according to the Deccan Chronicle.
