Telangana forms panel to modernise polytechnic education
Hyderabad, Aug. 24 -- The government of Telangana on Monday, August 24, constituted a high-level committee "to modernise polytechnic education and protect the legitimate academic and career interests of students, faculty and other stakeholders".
This comes in the wake of students' protests over the state government's order that brought Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs), and Polytechnic colleges under the Young India Skills University (YISU) and the newly formed SHAKTI department.
