Mumbai, Nov. 6 -- A Muslim teenager was allegedly beaten to death in Maharashtra's Sharashiv district on Tuesday, November 4, on suspicion of harassing a Hindu girl.

Eighteen-year-old Sameer Jabbar Patel was a B Com student at Tuljabhawani Mahavidyalaya Tuljapur college and first came under the radar of accused Santosh Kadam three months ago.

Deceased accused of stalking, harassing girl

Kadam, a former Maharashtra corporator and Tuljapur municipal council president, had accused Sameer of stalking and harassing his niece. The accused allegedly called the deceased and his family to his house, warning them to stay away from the girl. He reportedly assaulted Sameer and let them go with a warning.
