Hyderabad, June 22 -- The Telangana government is developing a tourism project at Bhongir Fort under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme with an investment of Rs 56.81 crore.

As part of the project, a 1-km ropeway will be introduced that will transport up to 300 visitors every hour.

During the inspection recently, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao expressed displeasure over the delay in the project. He instructed officials to complete all works by October 2.

As part of the Bhongir Fort Experiential Zone, a ropeway project worth Rs 17.91 crore is being built. The ropeway will stretch for 1020 metres and connect the base area to the top of the fort hill.
