Doha, Aug. 22 -- The Telugu diaspora in Qatar has come together to support the family of a Telangana man who recently died in the country, raising QR 42,966 (around INR 11.19 lakh) to help them cope with financial difficulties.

Late Sunkai Mallesh, a native of Nizamabad district, Telangana, was the family's breadwinner. His death left his family facing financial hardship, with his daughter's wedding also approaching.

Recognising the family's situation, Gottipati Ramanaiah, president of Andhra Kala Vedika (AKV) and NRI TDP Qatar, and Gadde Srinivas, president of Telangana Praja Samithi (TPS), took the initiative to mobilise support.
