Bengaluru, Oct. 13 -- Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge has said that the Bengaluru police's handling of protesters on Monday, October 12, will be reviewed, stressing that the right to peaceful protest is fundamental to democracy and must be protected.

Kharge said he had instructed the police to ensure that peaceful demonstrations were not disrupted. He also appealed to protesters to cooperate with the police and keep the authorities informed about their demonstrations to ensure the safety of participants and protect the rights of others.
