Hyderabad, Sept. 1 -- Telangana Police have denied permission for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) farmers' rally and public meeting in Nalgonda's Miryalaguda on Wednesday, September 3, citing traffic concerns.

The pink party had planned to hold a rally from the flyover bridge to Rajiv Chowk between 1 pm and 5 pm, followed by a public meeting. Working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) was scheduled to attend.

Former MLA and Miryalaguda BRS in-charge Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao had sought police permission for the programme. He said the protest was aimed at highlighting farmers' issues, including agriculture, irrigation, electricity, urea shortage and Rythu Bharosa.
