Chennai, Oct. 30 -- The Madras High Court on Friday, October 30, issued a notice to Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-convenor Saurav Das in a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking details of his background and the cancellation of his passport and Aadhaar card.

A division bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan sent the notice while hearing the petition by R Ganesh Kumar of Chennai.

Identifying Das as "Yogesh Sharma alias Saurav Das," the plea said he made derogatory comments about the judiciary, the Chief Justice of India, and other Supreme Court judges.
