Passport row triggers confusion among Hyderabad NRIs amid SIR
Hyderabad, June 28 -- Amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, confusion has been triggered among Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from Hyderabad after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that a passport has never been proof of citizenship.
Speaking to Siasat.com, an NRI from the city said that after the MEA statement, confusion prevails among many about the status of passports in the ongoing SIR.
