Hyderabad, Nov. 4 -- The Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) has inspected 28 food establishments in the Nizamabad district, flagging violations and taking appropriate action.

In all, 14 teams from the Enforcement Wing inspected the establishments involved in the manufacture of spices, packaged drinking water, sweets, restaurants, and other food establishments in the district on Tuesday, November 3.

The officials found common violations such as unhygienic kitchens, food waste and stagnant water on floors, greasy walls, dirty exhausts and chimneys, cockroach and housefly infestation, pest infestation on food articles, rotten vegetables, and absence of pest control and health records.
