Mumbai, Nov. 1 -- A prayer room in Mumbai's Inorbit Mall was allegedly shut down and demolished after Hindutva groups opposed it, calling it a secret "Allah ka ghar" in a place where people from all religions visit.

The issue stemmed from a viral video of two girls in hijabs showing around the namaz room at the mall, encouraging people not to skip their prayers.

The two minors explained that the room is well-furnished with separate women's and men's sections, including a wuzu khana.

The video, however, received backlash from right-wing individuals and groups who said it was an attempt at "converting" Mumbai into a "soft Islamic enclave" or Pakistan under the guise of secularism.
