Kalaburagi, May 23 -- A devastating road accident near Ladlapur in Chittapur taluk of Kalaburagi district claimed the lives of five people belonging to the same family late on Friday, May 22, night.

The victims died on the spot after the Cruiser vehicle in which they were travelling collided head-on with a speeding lorry on the national highway.

Police said the deceased were natives of Ingalagi village in Chittapur taluk. The family members had reportedly gone to Yadgir for personal work and were returning home after finishing their engagements. During the return journey, tragedy struck when a lorry moving at high speed crashed into their vehicle near Ladlapur.
