Hyderabad, April 3 -- The deity didn't ask for it, nor did the Adivasis. But it changed the life of a priest's family forever. Call it a mishap or neglect, the damage it has done is irreversible.
The incident in question is about a tribal child who lost his left leg and got a metal implant in his right leg, after one of the newly-constructed structures around the altars of Sammakka and Saralamma in Medaram village collapsed on him on March 25.
The incident happened after the annual Sammakka Saralamma Jatara that was held in Mulugu district from January 28 to 31.
