Hyderabad, April 2 -- A meat shop running under the name "A to Z Sheep and Goat offal" in Mangalhat's Aman Nagar Colony, has allegedly been selling spoiled meat despite piling first information reports (FIR) against it.

The most recent raid, conducted by the Commissioner's Task Force, H-FAST team and the Mangalhat Police on Wednesday, April 1, resulted in the seizure of 12 tonne of paya (goat feet), goat heads, brains, kidneys, liver and other offal, all worth Rs 10 lakh.

While the owner of the shop, Mohd Afroz, is currently absconding, his manager, Rafi Ahmed, has been arrested.

The accused would procure the stale/spoiled offal at a cheap rate from wholesale markets and preserve it at the Mangalhat store by keeping it in deep freezers...
