Hyderabad, May 30 -- Workers of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in Mancherial held a day-long protest on Friday, May 29, alleging the denial of water amid scorching heat

The demonstration was held near Rangapet Cheruvu in Mala Gurajala village of Bellampalli mandal of Mancherial district.

Workers also claimed that they are not being paid adequately. "We should be getting Rs 300 daily; however, we are receiving Rs 200, which is inadequate," one of the protesters said.
